５月５日の立夏はケルトの暦のBeltane（ベルターニェ）。花々が咲き誇り、美しい季節の到来と、降りそそぐ太陽の光の恵みに感謝する季節です。

自然の移り変わりに基づいて、様々な叡智を伝えていたドルイドたちの概念を、
もっと身近に私たちの日常の中で感じ、楽しんでいただきたいという思いから、季節に合わせたワークショップを開いています。

５月の始めには、古代ブリトン（ケルト）の概念では、Beltane（ベルターニェ）という、日本の立夏に当たる大切な祝祭日がやってきます。このベルターニェは、もともと、Bel（ベル）やBeli（ベリ）などと呼ばれた、古代の太陽の神にささげた、お祭りが起源です。

ケルトの女神であるブリギッドは、火の女神とも言われますが、それ以外にも様々な要素を兼ね備えた偉大なる地母神です。そして、太陽を司っている女神の一柱でもあります。

インボルクに作られている、「ブリギッドクロス」や、「ブリギッドアイ」と呼ばれるまじない飾りは、実は太陽を象っていると言われます。

クロスさせた日本の小枝に色とりどりの糸を巻いて自分の思いを込めてブリギッドアイを作ります。

ケルト文化におけるベルターニェという祝祭や女神ブリギッドについての理解を深めてから、自らの手で願いを込めて、お守りとなる飾りを作ってみませんか？

当日の流れ

はじめに、30分ほど、ベルターニェやブリギッドという女神などやケルト文化における概念などを簡単にお話しします。その後、小枝と様々な色の糸を選び、それぞれの思いを込めながらクラフトをはじめます。

大体30分～1時間程度で作業は終わると思います。

創造力なども司る女神ブリギッドのサポートを借りて、思い思いのブリギッドアイを作りましょう。✨✨

最後に、思いを込める短い瞑想（10分程度）で終わります。

This is my extra creation for setting an altar.

I painted some stones I gathered during my first year of Brighde-Brigantia training apart from my homework.

For the front side of 4 stones, I painted animals that represent the four elements. And for the centre stone, I painted Our Lady, Brighde-Brigantia.

For the other side of the stones, I painted symbolized four elements, and for the centre stone, the symbol that represent “my” centre and who She is in (Scots) Gaelic.

I have some ideas for their use, but it is a little heavy to carry around... so mostly for domestic use.

Now, I have got some more ideas for myself and will keep on making something for the altar.

前々からやろうと思っていたことを、また一つ創ってみました。
ブリギッド-ブリガンティアの1年目の課題のために石を探していた時に、このアイディアのために合わせて拾ってきた石たちを使って。

主に、ブリギッドの輪のアルターを設定するときに使いたいな…と思って、イメージは描いたので、ようやく実際の石のペイントに着手しました。

表面には、4つのエレメントを象徴する動物を描き、センターの石には私にとっての女神であるブリギッド-ブリガンティアを描きました。

裏面には、4つのエレメントを表すシンボルと、センターストーンには私自身のセンターを象徴するシンボル、トリスケルと、スコットランドゲール語で「我はブリギッドなり」と標しました。

他にもまだ、どこにも見つけることが出来なかったので自分で制作しようとアイディアを練っているものがあるので、引き続き挑戦していこうと思っています。

Yesterday was so warm and we could feel Spring air, and I went to one of the most beautiful places in this season in Japan with my husband which is our regular yearly visit. Fuchu Municipal Open-Air Museum ‘Kyodonomori’ is in my local area and it is high season of Ume (Japanese Plum) blossoms🌸.
They have more than 1300 Ume plum trees of more than 120 species here and even many little birds were enjoying the sweet smell of them with humans. 😊🌸🐦 It was more popular blossoms than cherry for enjoying the beauty in earlier time as 8th century. Ancient aristocrats enjoyed gathering and poetry (tanka) party under the blossoms.

In contrast, we are having very cold snowy wet weather today. 🌨️🌧️🥶Winter again. I am hoping this wet weather help to seize the mountain fire in Iwate Pref that is causing serious damage there. 🙏We have very different weather in accordance with the part in Japan. Our part has been having extremely dry weather during these winter time, and it caused many serious fire problems. They won’t have wet weather in Iwate until tomorrow evening according to the forecast, but they need rain desperately...

I keep setting prayers for them as well as the people who are suffering from the earthly difficulties.🙏

昨日は、地元の郷土の森博物館へ。毎年恒例の梅まつり。報道機関がこぞって紹介していたし、とっても暖かくなる週末なので、予想通り、大変にぎわっていたけれど、何せ広大なエリアなので入ってしまえば、割とゆっくり梅を楽しめます。

打って変わって、今日の東京は寒い雨と雪を行き来する日となりまして…
テレビのニュースはしきりに大雪への警戒を促していますが。

寒いけど、ずっと乾燥し続けていたので、この雨は恵みの雨と感じます。
この雨が少しでも助けになれば…と祈りますが、現地にお湿りが届くのは明日になるようで…😔

引き続き、天災に苦しむ方々、人災に苦しむ方々への祈りをささげ続けるばかりです。🙏

My Imbolc creation is eventually completed!!💚🤍✨

The embroidery of Fiery Brigid’s Cross is the centre of my Brighid’s wheel altar cloth. Actually, I am inspired from Marion’s altar cloth😊. Spending 3weeks of stitching embroidery and 2days of sewing🪡🧵, I am quite glad and feeling blessed.😌🙏

I am not really good at concentrating on something creative and/or handcrafting usually, but when it comes to Brighde (Brigantia), my hands seem to work well and my mind keeps up.💚🔥 Of course it is only an amateur skill, but it turns out perfect only for my own use anyway.🤭

Now I move on to the next something in my mind.🎨

I like embroidery although I do it only occasionally, and after I came back from my dedication urge for this creation was just stimulated.
When concentrating on stitching, I feel it is like meditation. Stitch by stitch, I set intentions and/or envision my wishes. For me, it is certainly continued from the dedication to Brighde-Brigantia as its part.😌🙏💚🔥

Now I will move on to the next part tomorrow and that won’t be so hard.😉

クロスステッチ刺繡は、瞑想のように、とても集中できて、一針ごとに自分の意図を設定したり、目標を思い描いたりすることが出来ます。
デディケーションの後、沸々と湧き上がった創作意欲を満たすため、ひたすら集中して、自分で見つけてパターンをおこした図柄を仕上げる３週間でした。
これも、私のBrighde-Brigantiaに捧ぐ旅の一端です。

思っていたより、ずいぶん時間かかってしまって、イムボルクに間に合わせたかったのだけど、昨日までかかりましたが…
実はこれはまだ前半部分なのでした…

明日以降、まだまだ創作活動は続きます。

A week has already passed and I have been adjusting myself to the daily life in Japan after I got back from my dedication.

I always need some time to get settled back whenever I come back from Avalon. It is not because of jet lag at all (Luckily, I have never been suffered from jet lag). It is more spiritual adjustment.

I had to take care of some of my grandkids the very next day and caught cold from them, and I needed to have really deep rest for a few days.
And I needed to help my elder son’s family moving to a new house on Sunday.
In a way, I forced myself going back to the days with taking care of my family.

The dedication was all about certainly crossing a threshold and meet with the Goddess, Brighde-Brigantia for me, face to face, and receiving Her blessings. Confirming Her existence within me and deep connection to Her.
Overall, I could feel beautiful bond to the sisters and the brothers of Brighde-Brigantia.
I know it would not be easy, but I will walk on to the 2nd year and further on this path.

Thank you, dear sisters and brothers for your beautiful blessings, and at most, Marion for leading me so far.

先日のグラストンベリーへの旅は、
Brighde-Brigantia（ブリジッド-ブリガンティア）という女神のエネルギーに導かれ、1年目の学びを終えて、次のステップへと進むための、通過儀礼の式に参加するためでした。

「女神」というのは、だれしもの中にある神聖なる女性性の表現方法の一つです。

自分自身の精神性を整え、（軸を太く根差すための精神修養とでもいうのでしょうか）自分自身を生きていくための学びを続けている中で、私にとっては、どうしても「ケルト」文化の女神の存在が一番身近であり、一番自分の中に自然に取り込める学びが、イギリスの聖地のひとつ、地球のハートチャクラと呼ばれるAvalonであるグラストンベリーで出会ったメンターのひとりであるMarionのトレーニングを始めたのが、昨年のイムボルクでした。

一年の輪の中で、様々な女神（神聖なる女性性）の側面に触れ、様々に浮かび上がってくる自分自身の中の事柄と向き合い、仲良くなり手放すという作業であったともいえます。

1年目は、そのトレーニングを通して、私の場合はBrigantiaという存在とより親しくなり、そのエネルギーを自分と共に感じ、生きていくということを目標としています。

そして、それをしっかりと認識し、受け入れ、力強く生きることを「誓い」歩みをすすめることを確認するのが、このデディケーションであったと思います。

私にとって、「最も」私を理解し、受け入れ、寄り添い合っていると感じる「仲間」達の祝福を文字通り浴びて、自分は独りではないということを心に抱くことが出来た週末でした。

Finally got this sweet lovely Moomin Mama's pancake with chai latte 😋 and a cinnamon bun to take away 😋✨️

The lady of the cafe was now very kind, as she realised that I was awaiting for this moment since early morning as I showed her the cancelled boarding pass to get free food 😂

The lady of the cafe isn't nice, I was just looking at the goods, but she warned me nastily it wasn't open!!😂

I was to fly to London 3 hours earlier, but it was cancelled, and my flight has changed to 7 hours later one.

Anyway, I have been enjoying this irregularity so far 😊
Meeting lovely ones...
Not many shops have been opened yet...
I couldn't help purchasing the lovely "Noisy Village" magnet...

After all, I believe it is Her will, and She gave me the chance to have time to conversation with Her before the coming dedication.

No harm done, only needed to change the time of my booking for NatEx from Heathrow to Bristol, and will be arriving very late in the evening in Glastonbury.
And I can have one free day tomorrow before my big day!
