Yesterday was Mary Magdalena's Feast and I have seen many posts.

Actually, I've got Her name in my Christian name. I had myself christened when I was in my late teenage. I had a strong urge to get baptised and contacted a Catholic Church and started studying the Bible. And after few years I was allowed to get baptised and could choose my own Christian name.

I chose Michaella from the Archangel Michael, and my tutor nun suggested me to add feminine name to balance the energy as it would be too masculine. So I took Maria from Maria Magdalena, as I was so attracted by her.

Maria Michaella is it, and yes, it has got the energy of Archangel Michael and Mary Magdalena. Just like Glastonbury where their energy cross.

Although I became Catholic Christian that day, I feel that it was a threshold for me to learn the mysteries, and it lead me to find my path in future.

Hail, Mary Magdalena!

Yesterday was Mary Magdalena's Feast and I have seen many posts.

The second self made dress.

It is the one I posted on Tanabata.
It is woven with mostly silk but a bit of cotton and synthetic threads.
It can be worn in either front or back.

I wove this one for my priestess self, with the colours of Brighde-Brigantia, and a little bit of what I call "Pictish Blue" to add my soul origin.

It looks much nicer being worn by myself than by a torso, isn't it? 😉

七夕の日に投稿したものを、織り上げて、漸く形になりました。
シルクの縦糸で、ほとんどシルクですがちょっとだけ化繊やコットンの横糸を入れつつ織り上げました。
前後、どちらでも着ることができます。

これも、プリーステスとして着るために織り上げました。ブリジッド・ブリガンティアの色に、少しだけ、私が「ピクティッシュ・ブルー」と呼ぶ青を入れました。
ピクトというのは、現在のスコットランド辺りに元々暮らしていた種族で、裸体にこの青のペイントを施していたと言われています。
アイルランドから、ゲール系の民族（ケルトの源泉）が入ってくる前に住んでいた民族です。彼等とゲール系の民族は後に交わり、ピクト族は消滅していきます。
スコットランドに、自分の魂の根源を感じるので、少しばかりこの色を足してみました。

トルソーに着せておくより、実際に着る方が素敵に見えませんか？

さをりの服は、着る人に馴染むのが、魅力的ですし、着ていてとっても楽だなぁ…と、思います。

I made these pullovers for my daughter's children, just before the waistcoat for my Dad.

They are made of cotton and I chose the colours that three of them like.

They are cut from one cloth which I wove in various colours for each part thinking of each one of the three grandkids. They show both the similarity and differences.

I still want to weave and make outfits for other 6 more grandkids of mine...😆

先日の父への贈り物の前に、長女のところの孫たち３人に、プルオーバーを仕立てました。それを、漸く今日渡すことが出来ました😊
これも、とってもシンプルで、先日自分に作ったドレスと、ほぼほぼ同じ感じで、まっすぐ縫うだけなのだけど。
それぞれの大きさに合わせて、微妙に大きさを変え、また微妙にデザインも変えています。
女の子2人には、背中にボタンを付けて、丈も少し長めのチュニック風に、末っ子の男の子のは、ちょっと短めに仕立てています。

実際に着てくれると、やっぱり可愛い😍

This is a sort of waistcoat I wove and sewn for my Dad.

And yes this is the one I struggled a lot with pills and tangles of the soft silk threads.

Moreover, after fulling, the difference of the horizontal threads' shrinkage gave unexpected appearance.

Then I looked at the cloth and tried to figure out how I should make, and how it would appear as my father's outfit.

It is just a simple sewing, just attaching piece by piece. Wonderful thing about handwoven outfit is that it always fits nicely to whoever wears it.

I meant to make it for my Dad, but my Mom seemed to love to wear it too 😁

I also cut out a tiny piece from the cloth as it looked artistic, and I put it in a frame and hanged it 🖼

昨日言及した、めっちゃ大変な思いをして縦糸を巻き取りしたシルクの作品が、これ。
今日、父に遅ればせながらの父の日プレゼントしてきた。

縫い上がった布を眺め、組み合わせて、簡単に縫うだけの、ちゃんちゃんこ風チョッキ

父にあげたのだけど、母も着てみて、気に入っちゃったみたい…(笑)

縦糸がたくさん抜けたことから、不思議な模様が出来たり、
使った糸によって、縮絨したあとに、めっちゃ縮んじゃった部分があったりするので、織り上がった布に向き合い、どのように使っていくかを考えて、形にするのだけど、
さをり織りの不思議なところは、どんな布も、着る人に合うところ。

毎回学びながら、新しい発見があるのも楽しいところ。

一部、風合いが気に入って、ちょっと飾ってみました✨

Its origin comes from an ancient Chinese star lore of a story of separated lovers (actually a husband and a wife).

Orihime (Princess weaver; Vega) was a daughter of a Sky King and very good at weaving. The King loved his daughter’s work, but as she was too obsessed with weaving, he introduced a nice hard working young man, Kengyu (Cow Herder; Altair) as her spouse.
They so fell in love each other at their first sight and after got married, they forgot their job but always stuck together without working. As a result, there were not enough cloth for the palace, and the cows strayed everywhere in the sky. The furious King separated the couple across the Amanogawa (River in the Sky: Milky way) and forbade them to meet each other anymore. However, the princess got heartsick deeply and was shed in tears, desperately pleaded her father to allow her to meet her husband. The King deeply loved his daughter so eventually allowed them to meet once a year on the seventh day of the seventh month, when the distance of the two stars, Vega and Altair, looks close across the Milky Way. On the first day of their reunion, the princess found it was hard for them to get closer due to the depth of the river, and again she shed in tears. Then a flock of magpies appeared and offered her a help to make a bridge with their wings for them and promised to do so every year on the very day. The magpies in this story meant the constellation of Cygnus.

We celebrate tanabata on the 7th of July, and it became a day to make a wish to the stars.

As the princess in this myth was a very good weaver, this day is called “Festival of the Weaver” these days.

Now I just have started weaving a cloth for another priestess outfit.

Each of the participants chose 2 twigs from 5 kinds of Ogham trees, and some threads of their favourite colours.
Woven their wish into their crosses.

The very first handwoven dress made of cotton.
Just a very simple one with Brighde-Brigantia colour. The bottom edge is not evenly made on purpose.
I think it goes quite well with my vest I made the other day.

'Saori weaving is a contemporary, free-form style of hand weaving that emphasizes creativity, self-expression, and imperfection. The name "Saori" comes from the Zen word "sai" (meaning everything has its own individual dignity) and "ori" (meaning weaving).'

Key Features of Saori Weaving includes as follows;

Free Expression: There are no rules, patterns, or constraints. Weavers are encouraged to break traditional weaving norms.

Imperfection is Beauty: Mistakes are embraced and seen as part of the creative process, not flaws.

And its philosophy is “We do not weave a cloth, we weave our true selves.”

These ideas fascinates me and I enjoy it as I can do it freely and I found it is as one of my ways of expressing the priestess self of Brighde-Brigantia.

Whenever I weave, I talk to Brighde-Brigantia and feel Her. It is not only for myself as a priestess, but I also feel so happy to think of what I may be able to make for my family.

It is really amazing, as I haven't been so creative before, but after I met my Goddess, loads of creative inspiration comes up, and eventually weaving is for me now and there are many ideas in my mind to express Her energy. . .

I am weaving something for my grandkids now, something that helps them to go through coming hot summer days.

This one is for my lovely daughter's birthday present, who re-started her job as a elementary school teacher after 4 years childbirth and childcare leave. I know she is doing very well both as a teacher and a mother of three kids, but to be honest, I am always worried if she might try too hard...

These are her colours in my idea, and wishing it gives her protection either literally from the strong summer sun shine or spiritually. I used cotton threads for vertically and linen threads for horizontally.
I portrayed forest/mountain of green, blue sky/sea of blue and clouds in the sky of white.

Now, I have started something for my priestess self.

そのおかげで、私にとっては夢だった、師匠Yuri Leitch氏の手によるオガムのオラクルカードが実現したのだ✨

私が教えているオガムの智慧は、彼のアイディアをベースに、自分なりの研究や日本人としての概念を盛り込んだ内容で、世界中を探しても、ある意味唯一無二の内容になっているんだけど、それは、彼がとてもジェネラスにすべての智慧を人々に伝え続けてくれるから。そして、彼が描き出すオガムに纏わる様々な概念は、やはり私にとってはしっくりくる...

そんなわけで、絵を描くことが大の苦手の私にとって、オリジナルのオガムのオラクルカードを自ら作り出すには限界があって、ずーっと彼の手によるものを待ち望んでいたのでした…

そして、それが遂に完成して、つい先ほど、日本の私の手元にも到着したのでした…

嬉しさ極まりない✨🥰

I participated 1 day workshop of Saori weaving. The workshop is situated right by a beautiful park of the region and not only had enjoyed weaving own cloth, but the view from the window.

The vertical black threads are already set, but we can choose any colours and as much as we want for the horizontal threads.
There is no strict rules for Saori weaving, we can choose any materials and colours. We follow our instincts and feeling, and the cloth we eventually have woven will express your mind or your spirituality.

It was my first time ever weaving, and I was always wanting to do it. I enjoyed it so much that I finally signed up for the monthly membership, and it will allow us to weave any time and any material at the workshop.

As the vertical threads were black, it looks a little dark shawl, and I am aiming to weave the one in lighter colour for my priestess outfit.

Oh, btw I saw a tiny little snake when I walked in the park to a restaurant for a lunch break,but it crawled too quick to take photos which was a pity... But as I know it is a sign of Brighde-Brigantia especially for this Beltane season, I was so glad and felt blessed and I always dedicate my creation for Her and am inspired by Her, I was glad that I felt her in that way (actually, I always feel Her everywhere 😉 but it is so rare findinga snakein Tokyo. )

ずーっとやってみたかった、手織。機織り機をパタンパタン…とすることにずっと憧れていました❤

自由に、感性の赴くままに糸を選び、織り込んでいく…
織っている間は、無心で取り組む。
そして、ふと窓の外に目をやると、美しい木々の緑に癒される…

とにかく、楽しかった。そして、プリーステスとしての何かを、自分で織り上げてみたいな…という目標を持ちつつ、しばらく気ままに続けてみたいと、月会員になりました😊

織っている間は、全く気にならなかったのだけど、帰宅して、お尻やら背中が、やたら痛い(笑)
初めての取り組みだったので、変な力も入ってたんだろうな…

もっと脱力して、ホントに気ままに織れるようになりたいな。

お昼休憩には、近くのカフェ・ドゥ・リエーヴルうさぎ館さんへ。
公園の緑を眺めながら、そば粉のガレットを頂きました。
その道すがら、小さな小さな蛇が足元を這っていきました…が、とっても速くて、写真に納める暇もなかった…😅残念。
ベルターニェのこの時期の、ブリジッド-ブリガンティアのエネルギーの象徴でもあるので、ここで出会えてとっても嬉しかった✨

それから、この木立の上の方に、オオタカの巣があると、たくさんの方が観察してました。

I sanded a piece of wood today, which I cut out from a cedarwood log with my husband at a local event last year.

I kept it dried completely and was considering how I wanted it to be like.

After sanding it, I imprinted a Brighid's Cross in the centre.

This is going to be a part of my altar piece as a candle holder base.

昨年、府中のけやき大通りでやってたイベントで、夫との共同作業で、私がどうしてもやってみたいと、夫にお願いして、通りすがりの人達の熱い視線にも怯まず(笑)、ギコギコと大きな鋸を引いて、杉の丸太から切り出したこの木片。

しっかり乾燥させて、さて、どうしようかな…と

今日、ようやく、せっせとヤスリがけして、アルターのキャンドルホルダーの台に仕上げました😊

昨年、府中のけやき大通りでやってたイベントで、夫との共同作業で、私がどうしてもやってみたいと、夫にお願いして、通りすがりの人達の熱い視線にも怯まず(笑)、ギコギコと大きな鋸を引いて、杉の丸太から切り出したこの木片。

しっかり乾燥させて、さて、どうしようかな…と

今日、ようやく、せっせとヤスリがけして、アルターのキャンドルホルダーの台に仕上げました😊

I have been working on some of the tools in my Brighde-Brigantia Priestess training.

I just follow my instinct and inspiration by the Goddess, and here they are...

So far, I am pleased with the result of my work.

I thought of adopting some of Japanese traditional craft for making the tools. I did some Kumihimo (Japanese traditional braid cord) for the decoration as well as a part of the tool.
Chose the colours of Brighde for the threads of the Kumihimo cords and the beads for the Necklace; Green, white, gold.

Carnelian beads look like Luis (rowan) berries in my Prayer Necklace, nicely decorate around 19 peridot beads.

Using Kumihimo cords for the Pouch as well as for the decoration of the Smudging fan made of 9 feather of swan and rowan twig. I tied Kanou-musubi (Kanou Knot) for the fan with round cord of green and white, that is one of Japanese traditional knot. The centre of it looks very much like Brighid's cross and the whole shape reminds me of trefoil, and I really felt it suited for the tool.

ブリジッド-ブリガンティアのプリーステストレーニングの課題として、いくつかツールを作ります。

この一か月の間の成果として、３種類のツールに取り組んでいました。

ポーチの紐には、白をメインに緑を入れた組紐を使いました。

スマッジングファンには、白鳥の羽９枚と、ナナカマドの枝を使った握りを付けて、ビーズネックレスで余ったカーネリアンとエメラルドをあしらいました。いずれも、女神ブリジッドの司るものです。

どの材料も、もともといろいろと手を出すタイプの私が今まで集めていたものを中心に使っています。
ある意味、今まで集めていたものは、全部ここに集約できている感じです（笑）。

なかなか出来を気に入ったので、ちょっと紹介しました。😊

As they say that cherry blossoms are in their full bloom in Tokyo, I went for my regular walk after 4 days of wintery rainy days to see how it is in my local area.🌸✨

I was a sort of relieved because I was afraid that the flowers might have started falling the petals after the heavy rain these last few days, and I could see that they were not yet in their full-bloom, we still can enjoy them more days to come.

I started my walk from visiting “my” Brighde’s well. I feel the portal to the otherworld at the above of its source, behind the little shrine laid. Whenever I stand in front of the portal, I feel my heartbeat getting stronger and head start spinning. 🌀😵‍💫
Oh, Goddess, it was so strong today that I felt I could fall over, I needed to calm my self down by walking slowly to the park of cherry blossoms. I got the sacred water from the spring in my little bottles for my altar offering and started to the park.

桜が満開...🌸の声を聞いてから、４日間寒い雨の日が続き、近所の桜、どうなったかな…と、半ば心配しながら散歩に出ましたが…

まだ、咲ききっていなくて、ちょっと嬉しい☺

私の中では、ブリジッドの聖なる泉であると感じている、近所の湧水の水源の上に、小さな稲荷の祠がありますが、その後ろが、異世界へのポータルであると、常々感じていて。
その前に立つといつも胸の鼓動が早くなり頭の中がグワングワンするのですが、今日は、春のエネルギーが上がっているせいか、一段と強く感じ、倒れてしまいそうなくらいでした…🌀😵‍💫

なので、泉の聖なる水💧🏺をアルター用に瓶に汲んでから、少しゆっくりと、桜のある公園へと向かい、
花を楽しみながら、自分自身のエネルギーを落ち着かせたのでした。

This is my extra creation for setting an altar.

I painted some stones I gathered during my first year of Brighde-Brigantia training apart from my homework.

For the front side of 4 stones, I painted animals that represent the four elements. And for the centre stone, I painted Our Lady, Brighde-Brigantia.

For the other side of the stones, I painted symbolized four elements, and for the centre stone, the symbol that represent “my” centre and who She is in (Scots) Gaelic.

I have some ideas for their use, but it is a little heavy to carry around... so mostly for domestic use.

Now, I have got some more ideas for myself and will keep on making something for the altar.

前々からやろうと思っていたことを、また一つ創ってみました。
ブリギッド-ブリガンティアの1年目の課題のために石を探していた時に、このアイディアのために合わせて拾ってきた石たちを使って。

主に、ブリギッドの輪のアルターを設定するときに使いたいな…と思って、イメージは描いたので、ようやく実際の石のペイントに着手しました。

表面には、4つのエレメントを象徴する動物を描き、センターの石には私にとっての女神であるブリギッド-ブリガンティアを描きました。

裏面には、4つのエレメントを表すシンボルと、センターストーンには私自身のセンターを象徴するシンボル、トリスケルと、スコットランドゲール語で「我はブリギッドなり」と標しました。

他にもまだ、どこにも見つけることが出来なかったので自分で制作しようとアイディアを練っているものがあるので、引き続き挑戦していこうと思っています。

来週末には、ブリギッド-ブリガンティアの2年目がスタートするので、その前に終わらせたいな…と思っております。

Yesterday was so warm and we could feel Spring air, and I went to one of the most beautiful places in this season in Japan with my husband which is our regular yearly visit. Fuchu Municipal Open-Air Museum ‘Kyodonomori’ is in my local area and it is high season of Ume (Japanese Plum) blossoms🌸.
They have more than 1300 Ume plum trees of more than 120 species here and even many little birds were enjoying the sweet smell of them with humans. 😊🌸🐦 It was more popular blossoms than cherry for enjoying the beauty in earlier time as 8th century. Ancient aristocrats enjoyed gathering and poetry (tanka) party under the blossoms.

In contrast, we are having very cold snowy wet weather today. 🌨️🌧️🥶Winter again. I am hoping this wet weather help to seize the mountain fire in Iwate Pref that is causing serious damage there. 🙏We have very different weather in accordance with the part in Japan. Our part has been having extremely dry weather during these winter time, and it caused many serious fire problems. They won’t have wet weather in Iwate until tomorrow evening according to the forecast, but they need rain desperately...

I keep setting prayers for them as well as the people who are suffering from the earthly difficulties.🙏

昨日は、地元の郷土の森博物館へ。毎年恒例の梅まつり。報道機関がこぞって紹介していたし、とっても暖かくなる週末なので、予想通り、大変にぎわっていたけれど、何せ広大なエリアなので入ってしまえば、割とゆっくり梅を楽しめます。

打って変わって、今日の東京は寒い雨と雪を行き来する日となりまして…
テレビのニュースはしきりに大雪への警戒を促していますが。

寒いけど、ずっと乾燥し続けていたので、この雨は恵みの雨と感じます。
この雨が少しでも助けになれば…と祈りますが、現地にお湿りが届くのは明日になるようで…😔

引き続き、天災に苦しむ方々、人災に苦しむ方々への祈りをささげ続けるばかりです。🙏

My Imbolc creation is eventually completed!!💚🤍✨

The embroidery of Fiery Brigid’s Cross is the centre of my Brighid’s wheel altar cloth. Actually, I am inspired from Marion’s altar cloth😊. Spending 3weeks of stitching embroidery and 2days of sewing🪡🧵, I am quite glad and feeling blessed.😌🙏

I am not really good at concentrating on something creative and/or handcrafting usually, but when it comes to Brighde (Brigantia), my hands seem to work well and my mind keeps up.💚🔥 Of course it is only an amateur skill, but it turns out perfect only for my own use anyway.🤭

Now I move on to the next something in my mind.🎨

When concentrating on stitching, I feel it is like meditation. Stitch by stitch, I set intentions and/or envision my wishes. For me, it is certainly continued from the dedication to Brighde-Brigantia as its part.😌🙏💚🔥

Now I will move on to the next part tomorrow and that won’t be so hard.😉

ここしばらく、SNSではほとんど活動していませんでした。

と、いうのも、1月半ばのブリギッド－ブリガンティアのトレーニング１年目のデディケーションから帰ってきてから、創作活動に没頭していました。
クロスステッチ刺繡は、瞑想のように、とても集中できて、一針ごとに自分の意図を設定したり、目標を思い描いたりすることが出来ます。
デディケーションの後、沸々と湧き上がった創作意欲を満たすため、ひたすら集中して、自分で見つけてパターンをおこした図柄を仕上げる３週間でした。
これも、私のBrighde-Brigantiaに捧ぐ旅の一端です。

思っていたより、ずいぶん時間かかってしまって、イムボルクに間に合わせたかったのだけど、昨日までかかりましたが…
実はこれはまだ前半部分なのでした…

明日以降、まだまだ創作活動は続きます。

I haven’t been active on SNS for a while as I have been working on an Imbolc creation for these 3 weeks. The “first and harder part” was eventually completed last night as in the photo, but it is not all. It is only a half way.🤭🔥

I made the pattern myself from a picture I chose, and it will be one and only. I was to finish the embroidery by Imbolc, but actually it took me 3 times longer than I expected.😅

I like embroidery although I do it only occasionally, and after I came back from my dedication urge for this creation was just stimulated.
When concentrating on stitching, I feel it is like meditation. Stitch by stitch, I set intentions and/or envision my wishes. For me, it is certainly continued from the dedication to Brighde-Brigantia as its part.😌🙏💚🔥

Now I will move on to the next part tomorrow and that won’t be so hard.😉

ここしばらく、SNSではほとんど活動していませんでした。

と、いうのも、1月半ばのブリギッド－ブリガンティアのトレーニング１年目のデディケーションから帰ってきてから、創作活動に没頭していました。
クロスステッチ刺繡は、瞑想のように、とても集中できて、一針ごとに自分の意図を設定したり、目標を思い描いたりすることが出来ます。
デディケーションの後、沸々と湧き上がった創作意欲を満たすため、ひたすら集中して、自分で見つけてパターンをおこした図柄を仕上げる３週間でした。
これも、私のBrighde-Brigantiaに捧ぐ旅の一端です。

思っていたより、ずいぶん時間かかってしまって、イムボルクに間に合わせたかったのだけど、昨日までかかりましたが…
実はこれはまだ前半部分なのでした…

明日以降、まだまだ創作活動は続きます。

A week has already passed and I have been adjusting myself to the daily life in Japan after I got back from my dedication.

I always need some time to get settled back whenever I come back from Avalon. It is not because of jet lag at all (Luckily, I have never been suffered from jet lag). It is more spiritual adjustment.

I had to take care of some of my grandkids the very next day and caught cold from them, and I needed to have really deep rest for a few days.
And I needed to help my elder son’s family moving to a new house on Sunday.
In a way, I forced myself going back to the days with taking care of my family.

The dedication was all about certainly crossing a threshold and meet with the Goddess, Brighde-Brigantia for me, face to face, and receiving Her blessings. Confirming Her existence within me and deep connection to Her.
Overall, I could feel beautiful bond to the sisters and the brothers of Brighde-Brigantia.
I know it would not be easy, but I will walk on to the 2nd year and further on this path.

Thank you, dear sisters and brothers for your beautiful blessings, and at most, Marion for leading me so far.

Brighde-Brigantia（ブリジッド-ブリガンティア）という女神のエネルギーに導かれ、1年目の学びを終えて、次のステップへと進むための、通過儀礼の式に参加するためでした。

「女神」というのは、だれしもの中にある神聖なる女性性の表現方法の一つです。

自分自身の精神性を整え、（軸を太く根差すための精神修養とでもいうのでしょうか）自分自身を生きていくための学びを続けている中で、私にとっては、どうしても「ケルト」文化の女神の存在が一番身近であり、一番自分の中に自然に取り込める学びが、イギリスの聖地のひとつ、地球のハートチャクラと呼ばれるAvalonであるグラストンベリーで出会ったメンターのひとりであるMarionのトレーニングを始めたのが、昨年のイムボルクでした。

一年の輪の中で、様々な女神（神聖なる女性性）の側面に触れ、様々に浮かび上がってくる自分自身の中の事柄と向き合い、仲良くなり手放すという作業であったともいえます。

1年目は、そのトレーニングを通して、私の場合はBrigantiaという存在とより親しくなり、そのエネルギーを自分と共に感じ、生きていくということを目標としています。

そして、それをしっかりと認識し、受け入れ、力強く生きることを「誓い」歩みをすすめることを確認するのが、このデディケーションであったと思います。

私にとって、「最も」私を理解し、受け入れ、寄り添い合っていると感じる「仲間」達の祝福を文字通り浴びて、自分は独りではないということを心に抱くことが出来た週末でした。

I don't mind waiting further a bit as I will take direct flight to Tokyo on my way back 😉🤣

Finally got this sweet lovely Moomin Mama's pancake with chai latte 😋 and a cinnamon bun to take away 😋✨️

The lady of the cafe was now very kind, as she realised that I was awaiting for this moment since early morning as I showed her the cancelled boarding pass to get free food 😂

Anyway, I have been enjoying this irregularity so far 😊

I couldn't help purchasing the lovely "Noisy Village" magnet...

After all, I believe it is Her will, and She gave me the chance to have time to conversation with Her before the coming dedication.

No harm done, only needed to change the time of my booking for NatEx from Heathrow to Bristol, and will be arriving very late in the evening in Glastonbury.
And I can have one free day tomorrow before my big day!
